Specializing in EMDR therapy for well-being

My clients usually find me because they are seeking a change and a new approach in therapy to process their trauma. You may feel stuck in some aspect of your life, such as how you are reacting in the present to things that happened in the past. Maybe you are having relationship issues, difficult life transitions, anxiety, depressive symptoms, grief, stress, PTSD, or C-PTSD, and want to take the next step to heal.

I work with adult individuals who are seeking to explore their negative beliefs about themselves and create new stories for their lives going forward. Together, I hope we can meet those challenges with a sense of curiosity, kindness, warmth, mindfulness, and a deep compassion for your experience.

I would be happy to schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. The best way to contact me is through the contact form on this website, looking forward to getting started!

My Approach

Primary therapeutic orientation

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) as my primary modality. I am committed to cultivating clinical EMDR skills, knowledge, and competence, and as such, I have pursued additional consultation, clinical practice, and continuing education to become an EMDR certified therapist.

Integrating EMDR therapy with mindfulness and self compassion

I also integrate different approaches to offer a unique plan to meet your goals, which include: client-centered talk therapy, guided visualizations, grounding exercises, breathing exercises, self compassion exercises, parts work, and other body-based coping mechanisms.

Counseling values

I value the ways that social justice broadens my therapeutic perspective to include how clients are impacted by their social world. My work is informed by intersectional feminist and LGBTQ+ theories, anti-oppression, anti-racist, sex-positive, and alternative ethical relationship frameworks.
